@Srn347 A large portion of the brain is used for simple things like moving your limbs, processing sensory input, experiencing emotion, storing/retrieving memory, etc.

Even things like your heartbeat are regulated by the brain.

...otherwise, the brain wouldn't have developed with all the aspects that it has.
there are those who can do extraordinary things like memorize 10,000 digits of pi from a brief glance, or tell what temperature it is outside by listening to crickets churping

and their brains aren't physically that different from anyone else's brain
The brain obviously has limits, but it can also do a lot that we don't understand. For instance, occasionally a stroke victim who has lost the part of their cortex needed for sensory or motor function in part of their body manages to rewire some other part of the brain to do those functions at least some.
That said, even so - there are small differences in brain structure that can cause significantly different effects. In addition, while photographic memory is possible, it is restricted because it causes problems with other aspects of the mind.
Or how Einstein's brain had differing structure from most normal brains due to his "abstract logic" and some part on the top of the brain that runs between both sides of some shit. Idk
“It can cause severe emotional problems, and psychological distress due to not being able to forget things.”
It’s like with Aspergers. You end up more intelligent but end up lacking an ability to communicate effectively with others.
again, you can just, replace in any of those thought experiments, the concept of tulpa with the concept of someone else who just, communicates with you in your head
Tulpas: Creation, Sentience, and Vocality By Piano Felight i. Foreword Purpose The purpose of this guide is to lay out advice, tips, and general instructions to new hosts for their endeavor to create their first sentient, vocal tulpa, in such ...
There is the occasional horror story in which a tulpa takes over the body, and the host is unable to regain control. Some of the stories entail a tulpa who hurts the host, or is extremely mean to them or hates them.
